SAMADHI AND MAHASAMADHI
This morning on the 13 of October 2021, I am reflecting that I am not a Spriritual adept who has discovered the ultimate meaning of life to live to; I have discovered it for all intents and purposes, but I remain a satya-advaita yogi still for I live on with life still to be lived and decisions still to be taken on family matters, on societal matters (for example, the emails that came in yesterday that I put on the pending file: these need action). Then there is the question of whether I should be worshipping God in performing daily pujas. So all in all whilst Samadhi and Mahasamadhi are natural consequences for a Vishista-advaita Vedantist, Samadhi being a period of reflection following satya-advaita yoga to ensure that there is no karma left to perform from one’s post-realisation musings; whereas Mahasamadhi is totally free of karma with no reflection, just blowing about in the wind like tree leaves doing what one is asked for and awaiting the inevitable death of the body, for here lies nirvana or total liberation in heavenly spirit, I am a scholar, with a mission to generate knowledge for world conservation, and cannot dwell on the feeling of happiness that I attained in proving the eternal law of the universe. It has to continue. I cannot sit on my laurels. It cowardice to do so. For the truth has to go one being ascertained throughout one’s life. Karma never stops for a satya-advaita yogi, which is what I have always been, and not a Vishista-advaitist, it occurs to me.
