Dear Sir

In order to minimise Kent Police's workload, my requirement is specifically on the point where I was caught speeding on 5th October 2022 by a Mobile Van Camera Team. I never ever saw a fixed Camera monitoring speeds of cars so it could be that Kent Police only deploy Mobile Vans on certain dates and times. Further I am interested in cars on both lanes of the A229 because when I drove at below 50 mph, cars came up behind me close urging me to keep up with the traffic. Being a mental patient with paranoid schizophrenia and persistent delusional disorders and Mood swings for which I am prescribed risperidone, sertraline and depakote medications to be taken morning and late evening, I have problems dealing with road rage from other drivers so the temptation to keep up with the traffic gets the better of me on occasions. I hope you will take these mitigating circumstances into account and cancel the prosecution to then refund me the £92 that I have paid for the speed awareness course.

I trust this information is what you require, but please do not hesitate to reply if you need further clarification.

Yours sincerely

Dr Shantanu Panigrahi

Dear Dr Panigrahi,

Thank you for the Freedom of Information request that Kent Police received from you on 22nd October 2022.

In order to assist the Freedom of Information team in collecting the relevant data to answer this request, some clarification is required.

the statistics of cars drivers that have been prosecuted daily for exceeding the 50 mph speed limit along the A229 northbound and southbound accordingly

In order for a search to be conducted of the electronic recording database, a date period is required.

Please can you confirm which dates you are interested in?

Should you have any queries relating to this then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours sincerely,
