Dear Dr Panigrahi,

Thank you for your email of 1 June 2022.

If you have concerns about the conduct of a law firm or an individual that we regulate you can report the matter to us.

What you need to do

Complete our report form and email it to

What happens next

We will take the time to carefully assess your concerns, and we will also look at the regulatory information we may already hold to decide what we need to do next.

We will respond to you within the next 35-45 working days, sooner if we identify urgent problems that need our immediate response.

If we cannot help with your concerns, we will point you in the right direction.

Are we the right organisation?

We want you to raise your concern with the right people. Sometimes that is us. But other organisations may be best placed to help.

For example, if you have concerns about the professional service you have received from your solicitor, the right organisation to help is the Legal Ombudsman. Unlike us, it has powers to tell your solicitor to put things right, to pay compensation to you or reduce your solicitor’s bill if it finds there has been poor service. More information about the Legal Ombudsman and how to make a complaint can be found here.

Did my response help you today?

Please let me know if my response helped you today by clicking the feedback button below.

It should take you less than two minutes to complete, and we review all feedback that we receive.

If you have any further queries please contact us.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Ms Scanlon

If that is your final decision on behalf of the Chief Constable of Kent Police, the Court should treat your email dated now as the Application Notice to strike out the Claim Form and the Injunction Application at a Hearing since you have acknowledged the uptodate Claim Form and the particulars of Claim contained in my correspondence with the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. As such your Application will be treated as the Defence of the Chief Constable of Kent Police in order to bring this matter to a closure as soon as Medway County Court announces a decision on whether there is to be a Hearing or if the District Judge enters summary Judgemet in favour of the Claimant or the Defendant without a Hearing.

Please let me know immediately if you consent to this proposal.

Yours sincerely

Dear Sirs

For the avoidance of doubt, the court is advised that the defendant has filed and served an application to strike out and/or for summary judgment on 27 May 2022.

As advised in the covering letter to both the claimant and the court, the claimant has been put on notice that the defendant’s application notice relieves the defendant of the burden of filing a defence pursuant to CPR 12.3(3) until the hearing of the defendant’s application.

We look forward to receiving Notice of Hearing from the court.

Yours faithfully
